On-site Accident Management Support -
Aviem brings together expertise in both traditional emergency management
mass fatality response and airline disaster response. Airlines face unique
challenges not found in traditional mass fatality emergency response organizations
and Aviem’s personnel are uniquely qualified to provide this support.
- Family Assistance Center - Along
with its Accident Management services, Aviem will set up and maintain
a Family Assistance Center for those families who wish to travel to
the accident site.
- Joint Family Support Operations Center -
Aviem will also establish on the airline’s behalf a Joint Family
Support Operations Center (JFSOC) to coordinate the efforts of all
responding agencies and organizations, including appropriate technology
and communications equipment needed to support the center.
- On-site Badging Services - Aviem
provides complete badging services during the post-accident response
for all responders desiring access to your operations centers and
for family members to help provide privacy and control in the Family
Assistance Center.
Family Assistance
- Aviem International, Inc. works in partnership with the
Family Assistance Foundation in providing one of the most highly
trained professional support teams available. The Foundation provides
trained professionals to work with families through its professional
support team consisting of licensed mental health professionals
and trauma specialists with real aviation disaster experience.
Consulting
& Planning Services
Corporate Response Plans - Aviem
can assist with the development of new plans or with upgrading
and enhancing existing plans. Aviem ensures that plans are comprehensive
in nature and that they take into account not only a company’s
internal resources and activities but ensures that the roles of
any outside vendors who may support an emergency response are
also clearly defined and integrated into the overall response
plan. |

The Family Assistance Foundation, Inc. is an independent
non-profit corporation founded to improve the support provided
to survivors and family members following transportation
disasters by supplementing & supporting airlines' response
capabilities.

Aviem will ensure that the corporate plan meets or exceeds the requirements
of the Aviation Disaster Family Assistance Act of 1996 and the Foreign
Air Carrier Support Act of 1997. We will even prepare a version of the
plan to submit to the US Department of Transportation (DOT) and the National
Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
Exercises & Drills - No plan is complete until its been tested.
We provide complete development, conduct and evaluation of exercises.
Types of exercises include tabletop, functional drills, response drills
and full-scale drills.
Aviem can also develop exercises on a strictly internal basis or can
coordinate and facilitate development of an exercise in conjunction with
an airport, governmental agency, relief agency or other external authorities
and organizations.
Once an exercise is complete, Aviem with work with you to provide detailed
debriefings and an after-action report for follow up and action item issues.
Command Center Design and/or Enhancement - Effective
management
of emergency operations requires facilities that aid the flow of information
and enhance the ability to make good decisions. As such, Aviem International,
Inc. works with companies to both transform existing facilities into
effective
emergency command centers or design and build new command centers from
the ground up. Aviem also assists companies in properly equipping centers
to augment the good design of a command center.
